Diary update September 2013

The last few weeks since I finished the Pool room doors in Brentwood, most jobs have been small repairs that I have had to catch up with including a couple of doors at Coalhouse Fort that had been vandalised and smashed, because there are original doors they have had to be repaired rather than replaced, as is my usual habit I didn’t seem to get round to taking pictures.

This week one of those little jobs I had sitting around got done and finished, you may remember the boat I restored back in 2011, well this time although a much smaller job, this old steering wheel for a Jaguar Xj120 needed badly stripping back and refinishing.

SW1

It has a made up ply rim on an alloy boss and frame, the stripping took forever but well worth it when the super shiny finish was complete.

SW2

This was done for one of the electricians I use, and he was over the moon with it, could be a new angle in classic car timber refinishing.
